Enclosures

Creating a safe and enriching outdoor space for your rabbit can make a huge difference in their happiness and overall well-being. The enclosure I use in my yard has an open bottom, which allows my bunny to enjoy the natural environment—digging in the dirt, nibbling on fresh grass, and exploring new scents. I like that I can easily move it around the yard, giving him access to fresh patches of grass and weeds while preventing overgrazing in one spot. Inside the enclosure, I always make sure he has fresh water available, along with toys and enrichment items to keep him mentally stimulated. I even built a small structure for him to climb on, since he loves being up off the ground and observing his surroundings.

The enclosure also has a covered top, which is important for protecting him from direct sun and unexpected rain. Safety is always a top priority, so I’m careful not to include anything that could be harmful—if I’m ever unsure about an item, I simply leave it out. While this setup gives him the freedom to dig and explore, he is always supervised since rabbits can potentially dig their way out.

Overall, this outdoor enclosure provides a fun and active way for my bunny to enjoy time outside while staying safe and cared for.
