Spring Cleaning
As the weather starts to warm up and spring arrives, it’s the perfect time to give your rabbits’ outdoor spaces a fresh start. After a long winter of cold temperatures, snow, and ice, keeping things clean can be more challenging, so spring is when we really focus on a deep clean. This means taking apart enclosures, removing all bedding and accessories, and thoroughly washing everything down. It’s also a great opportunity to check that all parts of the cage or enclosure are still in good working condition, making sure your bunnies remain safe, secure, and comfortable.
Cleanliness is key to keeping your rabbits healthy and happy. Fresh, clean water should always be available, along with their regular food. Any uneaten food should be removed daily to prevent it from spoiling, creating odors, or attracting unwanted bugs. Keeping their living area tidy not only benefits your rabbits but also helps prevent pests like flies and insects from becoming a problem.
Maintaining a clean environment also discourages larger pests such as mice or rats from being attracted to your rabbits’ space. By staying on top of daily upkeep and doing a thorough spring cleaning, you create a healthier, safer environment for your buns to enjoy. A clean space means happier rabbits—and a much more enjoyable setup for you as well.
